The owner/manager was extremely friendly! The kitchen closed early the evening we arrived, but he kept it open long enough to cook us some dinner. The rooms are so charming!
If using Google, etc. to find the location, make sure you get the entire correct address. There is another street with a similar name in that town that most direction searches pointed us to, which was the wrong one. It's tricky to find, hidden amongst narrow and windy streets.
Friendly service, clean well-appointed comfortable room. We slept extremely well. The windows had beautiful wood shutters which blocked out light and sound. Great views of Montserrat, as the village is near the base of the mountain. The pool looked very inviting but it rained during the time we might have gone for a swim. Delicious well-stocked buffet breakfast. The proprietor spoke to me slowly so I could understand because my spanish is not very good.
The people there were fabulous, exceptionally helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely and service very good. Highly recommend the stay and the restaurant (closed Sunday nights). The location is also very close to Monserrat, just down the road about 5km. You can even walk up from the town if you like (though rather too hot in August). We liked it so much we stayed a second night.
We chose Can Misse because of its proximity to Montserrat. This proved to be a fine decision. We liked the small but atmospheric old section of Collbato, where the property is located, and spent a memorable evening strolling there. We had extremely nice hosts, with English spoken. The attached restaurant was very good as well, an unexpected bonus to an overall pleasant stay.
The owners very nice and helpful.
Not much around but lovely little town
the staff and cleanliness and decor and restaurant.
A beautiful quaint hotel - fantastic location. We chose to dine on site and the food was amazing and the service cannot be faulted - a real value for money gourmet getaway. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely visit again.
No English menu, but our waiter went to great lengths to translate everything for us. No real faults regarding the hotel at all! However, the town's info centre attendants could do with googling their own town. We were provided with very little information and they seemed to have very little idea as to the town's history or sites of interest.
Nice looking.Clean.Newly refurbished. Breakfast simple but nice.
Bad quality extra bed. No ventilation exept windows? Location:Supposed to be just 3 km from our destination,Montserrat. Turned out to be 8 km according to taxi driver. No info available at railroad station or elsewhere on how to get a taxi. Called the hotel for taxi. Was told we had to get one from another town as there where no local taxis avilable.Taxi waited for 30 mins at another location even as we had told him to pick us up at the railroad station. Total bill for what was supposed to be 3 km was 52 Euro. Next day we pushed the hotel staff a bit and it turned out that there was a local taxi available after all.Surprice, surprice! Price from hotel to railroad station was just 20 Euro. I find it hard to believe that it should be that hard to get a taxi at one of Spain`s major religious and tourist attractions. To me,it all has a bad smell to it.........
Location - close to Montserrat which we wanted to visit. Friendly staff but little English spoken. Restaurant menu was difficult to understand but the portions were huge and very tasty! Off street parking.
Difficult to find even with sat-nav. Noisy - but this was due to the eve of the feast of St Joao and celebrations for that.
a charming bijou hotel in an excellent location.
Difficult to find even with a Sat Nav. - we parked as near as we could and found on foot, then drove to entrance.
One of the few hostels I've seen that looks in real life as it does in photos. Beautiful scenery. We had a room looking out onto Montserrat. Small town, great location. We hiked to the Montserrat monastery in 2.5 hours. I think Collbató is quieter than other towns around Montserrat, and we appreciated that. Can Misse itself was very comfortable, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Some might say a little pricey. I think it was worth the money we paid, as it had free breakfast and a pool. Plus the room had wonderful views. Definitely not a budget hostel, though.
No repito.
